Kind of appears that way, no?
Emily was diagnosed with RSV about 2 weeks ago, and is finally at the end of her albuterol nebulizer treatments. She was terrified of them at first, but now looks forward to wearing the dinosaur mask (and the leftover Christmas stocking candy cane kisses that follow each treatment.) The saddest thing was while trying to keep us all passing the sickies back & forth, it was a smoochless home for a good 72 hours. And when I typically kiss my girls a good 4,678 times a day, believe me...it's hard.
I found this 80's gem in my moms basement & got so excited. I ruled at Trouble, mainly because of my awesome cheating efforts. Looks like karma is indeed real because Brookie? Total cheater. This girl is the total mac to my cheese.
I for one, love the accent nail trend. Especially a good glitter one. But you honestly should've seen the many looks on many different (mainly elder) patients faces when I was taking their blood pressure last week. Pure confusion. One elderly man said to me "Well shit, how can I trust you to get the right numbers when you can't even do a simple task like painting your own nails correctly?" Ha!
This past weekend we were FINALLY able to get out of this house and we made the most of it. Tribefest at The Jake (always) was a disorganized freezing cold clusterfark. But? It was also the girls very first time to the ballpark. A moment Dustin has been waiting for ever since I told him "guess what?" in January of 2008.
We also got to have a play date with our amazing friends who, due to stupid geography & dumb responsibilities like a job, we don't get to see very often. Chasing these crazies around a kids museum doesn't leave us mommas much time to chit chat, but the kids had a great time together so win/win. Plus we made future plans that definitely include wine so yeah. Win/win.
How was your weekend? Mishmashey as well? Do share.
By the by, do you follow me on Instagram? I hear it's the cool thing to do, so by all means, don't let me stand in your way.

RSV is just awful, I hope she's feeling much better now, it's hard on everyone!
ReplyDeleteit is, her poor cough was just pitiful. but thank you hun, she's feeling much better!
DeleteI agree - always will be The Jake to me! :)
ReplyDeleteOmgoodness that elderly patient of yours!! LOL what a hoot and God Bless bluntness. All my patients are kiddos so when ever they come in with chipped off nail polish I tell them how "peeling it off" is my favorite part of getting my nails painted!!
ReplyDeleteWhen you take them to see a tribe game for the first time they will give you a cute certificate at the guest services stand. We got one for our daughter last summer. Too cute!
ReplyDeleteaw really? that's so sweet. i love how family oriented the jake is!
DeleteI'll have to show Noelle the picture of Emily using her mask. Noelle refuses it when she needs to take her breathing treatments. Maybe this will encourage her. :)
ReplyDeleteAmanda
hopefully it'll help her realize that it's kinda fun. we also try to have emmy sing her abc's while she's doing her treatments, keeps her occupied. i hope noelle starts liking them better soon!
