34 Weeks!

How far along? 34 weeks.

Total weight gain/loss: 32 lbs at my appointment last Thursday. Yep, you read that right. Thanks Cankles!

Maternity clothes? are now starting to get snug.

Sleep: blows. Here's the low down. We bought new bedroom furniture. It was supposed to arrive on May 27th. We moved in May 23rd so we decided to just use a mattress on the floor instead of moving a bed and whatnot. Delivery gets pushed to May 29th....and then June 3rd. Son.Of.A.Bitch.

Best moment this week: Sprout's Sprinkle today =)

Food cravings: Sweet tea. Strawberries. Sour cream and cheddar chips.

Gender: GIRL!

Movement: I can tell she's getting crammed because her movements are slowing down some. Of course she sleeps all the live long day in the ute, but will be awake every 2 hours out here.

What I am looking forward to: Being comfortable in any position. Any at all. Cause right now, I just can't get comfortable. Cue the violins.

What I miss: Amaretto sours. A big one.

Words Of Wisdom: Pack that hospital bag! (I'll write a post soon about my favs, especially with having a c-section)

Milestones: After my next appointment in 2 weeks, I'll be going to the doctor weekly and getting internals. Holy canole.

The time has come. Brooklyn will be 21 months next week (on my 25th birthday....am I for real going to be rounding up to 30 in a mere 8 days?!?), Sprout's arrival is fastly approaching and she needs a crib, aaaaaaand Brookie's big girl room is all ready for her (pictures will follow soon, just have a few touch ups to do first!)

So what time was it? It was toddler bed time.

A part of me feels bad, like I forced her out of her crib. I mean, she's not even 2 yet. And she's been sleeping great in her crib and has only climbed out 2 or 3 times. I was worried she'd feel as if we were giving her the boot just to make room for Sissy.

But when we put her bed in her room and set up her bedding, she got soooo excited. It was afternoon time and she instantly told us "Night night Mommy, Daddy!", put her binkie in her mouth, and make snoring sounds. She adores this bed. So when it was time for bed last night, she hopped right in and after 4(teen) stories, she layed right down. In her nursery she had fishes projected on the ceiling and classical music playing all night long, so we kept that in her big girl room for comfort.

And a gate at the door...juuuust in case. I sat on the top of the stairs for almost an hour, just listening for her to tumble out of her bed. To give me a reason to get the toddler bed out of the house & put her crib back together. But when I checked on her after an hour, this was what I saw.
She was out cold. I checked on her during my nightly pee call and I wish I would've had my camera with me because she was kneeling on the floor with her head on the mattress. And she was zonked lol Kinda like she fell asleep praying, it was precious.

So my baby girl has taken another step towards independence. Towards becoming a big girl. She already refuses our requests for hugs and kisses sometimes.....I'm already imagining her making me drop her off a block from school so no one will see me. *siiiiigh* I truly need to invest in a time machine.
Do you think this face will one day tell me "You're ruining my life?!?!?"
Me either ;)

Summer Time

Sorry for the lack of posts recently. But it has been crazy these past 2 weeks with packing, moving, unpacking, organizing, swelling, yadda yadda yadda. We've been so busy just trying to make our new house a home =)

But a huge perk was having our besties over the other day. It was broiling outside and perfect weather for the girlies to play in the water and us preggo Mommas to soak our cynder blocks feet.

The girls had so much fun in this lil frog pool. Ava has been saying Brookie forever, but Brooklyn is now just getting the hang of saying Ava....although it comes out Ahhvahh, it's absolutely adorable listening to them converse using each others names.

And, of course, I had to get some pics!
Her suit was riding the entire time. WEDGIE!
Thank the Lord, it's finally summer!!!!

33 Weeks!

How far along? 33 weeks {and 2 days}. Aaaaaaand there's a lil sneak peak at Sprout's nursery. I adore the wall color and can't wait to get the rest put together.

Total weight gain/loss: 28 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Oh yesh.

Sleep: Isn't bad. The weird life like dreams have reappared and I'm hotter than a mo-fo....but other than that it's asi asi.

Best moment this week: We're in our new home =)

Food cravings: Tilapia. And I don't even like fish. But the Outback and Olive Garden make it so good! And sweet tea...not toooo sweet, but just sweet enough. My body craves it.

Gender: Lady <3

Movement: Still makes me smile.

What I am looking forward to: Having ankles again. RIP ankle bones.

What I miss: I just miss myself. My body. I love my belly so much (and especially what's inside) but I just want me again, ya know.

Words Of Wisdom: Prop up those feet! Or you'll look like this....
This, my friends, is called pitting edema

Milestones: I'm almost positive I've dropped. And I definately feel her lower. What do you think?

32 Weeks!

How far along? 32 weeks {and 4 days}

Total weight gain/loss: 28 lbs at my doctors office last Thursday. That number makes me shudder, but my OB told me I was right on track. So he was either telling me the truth or trying to make an 8 months pregnant woman happy....either way I'll take his word for it.

Maternity clothes? Fo.Sho.

Sleep: Sleep Shmeep. The pangs of pelvic pain every time I roll from side to side combined with leg cramps and a flimsy bladder doesn't make for any kind of good sleep.

Best moment this week: We closed on a house!!! YAY!

Food cravings: Nothing really this week. I do drool at the thought of a farmer's market though....can't beat fresh produce.

Gender: Girly

Movement: is kind of slowing down. She's at least 4, 4.5 lbs by now so I know she's getting cramped. I feel alot more rolling than I do kicks.

What I am looking forward to: Being settled in our house....I'm in total nest mode and all I wanna do is get every room exactly how I want it. And CLEAN!

What I miss: Being able to go from sitting to standing without needing to work up the energy first.

Words Of Wisdom: Take it easy. For realzy. Because you're body will punish you if you try to do things you did 7ish months ago.

Milestones: I basically have 6 or so weeks to go until my c/s. 6 weeks ago was Easter. So from Easter to now is the amount of time left I have until I meet my daughter.....and Easter feels like it was just last weekend. This.Is.Flying.BY!

New House Take 1~~>Bedrooms

So even though our house was "move in ready", we've decided to do some alot of upgrading. It's going to take some time to get it exactly how we want it, but we're doing as much as we can now. We'll start with the bedrooms. {These pics are from my cell phone so some are pretty unfocused and blurry.}

Here's Brooklyns big girl room right now....
A big perk to us getting this house was the closet space! As you can see from the top picture, in Brookie's room she has two seperate closets. And both have built in drawers which is awesome. Sprout's nursery has one small closet, so we'll more than likely use one of these closets for Brookie & one for Sprout. And we're really saving on her furniture because we're using our niece Hadley's old toddler bed which is good as new!

As some of you remember, we decided on this bedding for Brooklyns toddler bed...

so we..errrr I..decided on a pale yellow for her room. She has soooo many pink and brown accesories and wall hangings and she's such a happy girl, I thought yellow would be perfect. I wanted it to be warm and soft, so we got Sherwin Williams "Friendly Yellow"
(Side note---the yellow here appears much more tan than the paint chip. Think more butterish)

Now onto Sprout's nursery...
I didn't get a picture of the other side, but beside the doorway is a door to her closet, which we'll mainly use for extra supplies like diapers, wipes, stuffed animals, etc. And totes of big sissy Brooklyns clothes for her to grow into.

And here's Sprout's nusery bedding (remember the steal I got on this over $250 set?)
Sprout will be using Brooklyns old crib (hope she doesn't mind Lil Chucks teeth marks on the rails!) and her white dresser that we'll also use as a changing table.
I couldn't decide on what paint scheme for the room. I went back and forth between a pink, a sage, or even a pale blue. In the end, I decided that we had quite a bit of pink accents so we went with a sage color called "Softened Green" from Sherwin Williams.
(Once again, this is a bit off. Think more sagey.)

Now onto our room. Dustin & I have been together for 7 years and we've always had hand me downs. NOT that we didn't appreciate them, but once we found our house we really wanted to get some new things for ourselves. I mean, we've had the same bedding for the past 5 years. It was time to upgrade!

So here's our bedroom...
Now onto furniture. We went to Value City and started our search. I love dark wood, sleigh beds, but I had also wanted a bed that had built in drawers underneath.
Well 2 outta 3 ain't bad. No drawers, but I got my dark wood and sleigh bed! We decided to get a queen bed, 2 of the side bed tables, and the 6 drawer chest and decided aginst the side by side dresser with mirror. We also got a Beautyrest mattress and box spring. All that plus shipping (where they'll bring everything in and put together for us) and taxes came out to about $1,400!!! SCORE!

Bedding wise, we decided on this (although I reeeeeally wanted the lime version of this, Dustin actually put a firm Nope! on that one *sad face*)
Painting wise we've decided to just keep the neutral color that's already on the walls.....for now ;)

So there's our bedrooms! I'll keep you posted as we update the rooms (stay tuned for the disastrous wallpaper tragedy in our living room and dining room!) and the rest of our new home.

Maternity Shoot Sneak Peek =)

I knoooow.....I turned 32 weeks today {squeee} and I haven't posted a pic. Well my friends, you didn't wanna see me today anyways. Today was a full day of packing, moving, unpacking, and cleaning (I really think this whole nesting thing is starting...who uses half a roll of Clorox wipes on a new fridge?)

So in place of the weekly pic and survery, which I promise will be up Wednesday or Thursday this week, I give you a sneak peek at our maternity shoot from 2 weeks ago.

I loooooove this. LURVE IT! Amanda at http://www.erasphotography.com/ does such a beautiful job! We can't wait to see how the rest turned out!

Well, there's defiantely been a reason why I haven't blogged in almost a week. No, my latop didn't crash AGAIN {knock on wood!}. Nope, I'm not in labor {again knock on wood for at least another 5 weeks.}

The reason is WE CLOSED ON A HOUSE! We're officially home owners. We have a mortgage.....we're legally binded to something until 2040! We're grown ups!

We live in a 2 bedroom right now & knew that with Sprout coming we would need a house with another room. So we started the search in January and found the one we wanted in March. And finally after 2 months of repairs and work, we finally closed last Thursday. We are soooo excited!

So this past week has been absolutely crazy with closing, signing yet another 24 bajillion pieces of paper work, basically signing our life away, working an extra day this week so I could take off a day next week, packing, unpacking, cleaning, shopping, and all that jazz. I'll definately be posting before and after pictures of the house because we're doing some interior changes I'm stoked about! Stay tuned!

31 Weeks!

*~*Happy Mothers Day!*~*
How far along? 31 weeks.

Total weight gain/loss: Scale at home says 24 lbs. And I definately feel it.....not gonna lie, I'm really starting to get uncomfortable.

Maternity clothes? Yyyyyep. And some of my 2nd trimester shirts are midrift now, so I know she's getting bigger!

Sleep: Isn't too bad. I can still get {semi} comfortable with my body pillow & I wake about 2 times a night to go to the bathroom.

Best moment this week: Today. I love being a Mommy to my gorgeous daughter.

Food cravings: Panera iced green tea. And I'm still lovin my Multi Grain Cheerios, dry or with milk.

Gender: Sissy =)

Movement: is occuring as we speak type.

What I am looking forward to: Maternity leave. You know your job is crazy stressful when you'd rather be home with a crying infant & a demanding toddler lol

What I miss: I really miss being able to bend over Brooklyn's crib at night when she's asleep and kiss her. My belly just won't allow it anymore =( So I've been picking her up and snuggling her. I'm definately soaking it all up while I can.

Words Of Wisdom: Pregnant during the spring/summer? Screw shorts & just wear capris. That way you only have to shave up to your knees.

Milestones: Just another week closer to 2 under 2!

And I must showcase Brooklyns Mother's Day gifts for me =) This beautiful bracelet....
and this card! I love how she insisted on putting a picture she colored of Diego in the frame.
My mom, Brookie, & me!
We had a great day today & I hope all you Mommies did too. Happy Mother's Day!
