ToT 09!

Last Thursday was Trick or Treat in BTown and we had the prettiest flower with us :) She did soooo good keeping her flower headpiece on, especially since during all the times we tried it on her, she ripped it right off. So to prepare for the worst, I gotta smiling pic of her without it on.

And then she did her best to avoid smiling with the hat on, of course.

She had such a fun day & was zonked by 8 o'clock. ANNNND best news of all, for the past 3 nights Brooklyn has put herself to sleep at night. It's our fault that she's gotten used to use rocking or patting her to sleep, but now she just turns to the side, talks to herself for about 10 minutes, then passes out. Yeaaa Big Girl!!!

Ava's momma Kendra & I became friends through her momma Pam & the dr's office. We've only been friends for a little over a year, but I swear we were seperated at bestie birth! It is so.much.fun watching our girls together, they love each other so much! <3 Ava Potada & Brook Cakes Magoozers!

ToT 08!

You've seen this pictures...they're from the beginning of October when we went to the Pumpkin Patch in Ashland. But here's some pics that are brand spankin new...or old, however you want to look at it. They're from the "pumpkin patch" in 2008 when Cakes was barely 7 weeks old

I was a total Paranoid Patsy about her getting sick. So even though it was about 60* last year, she stayed warm & cozy in her seat.And in honor of Trick Or Treat tonight, check out some pics from last year's ToT. Candy, Pink Bats, & Punkins Oh My!

Today was my BLS (Basic Life Support) & ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) testing so I had a short day. I was sooo nervous during the test. It's so surreal being team leader while someone is coding. Making the decisions as to when you need to shock, when to give Epi or Adenosine, making sure you're giving rapid CPR, stabalizing the patient, just working on the mannequin broke me out in a sweat! Plus talk about intimidation--I was in a group with an M.D, a D.O, a pharmacist, a nurse practitioner, and an ICU RN. I was schweating bullets, but I passed!!! Yeaaaaa!!!

So it was great to come home to Cakes early! After she woke up we went to Walmart, where I only intended on buying like 3 bags of candy for Trick or Treat. We left with 2 sweatshirts for Brookie, a Halloween skirt for Saturday (again for Cakes), SIX bags of candy, and a big container of play food (that one's for Dustin....JK). I spent over $20 in candy....more on that later.

Anywho, Brookie was in such a funny & playful mood when she woke up. And I gots proof!

When Dustin comes home, I see he's got 2 big bags with him. And guess what's inside. About 5 big bags of candy. I though I was supposed to get it, he thought he was supposed to get it. So here's what over $40 worth of candy looks like. And yes, that's a rather large tub that close to overflowing.

Tonight we also carved our pumpkins. We've been meaning to for the past like 3 weeks, just haven't gotten around to it. Without further ado, here's Brookie's lil guy.....

And Dustin's masterpiece. That pumpkin is HUGE! Over 12 lbs. Good ol Coopers Mill always has the best pumpkins!
